WorkSafe PIN Closures

A Provisional Improvement Notice (PIN) is a written notice issued by WorkSafe or a Health and Safety Representative (HSR). Upon receiving this notice, the PCBU must address the identified health and safety concern(s) within the workplace – usually within a set period.

Receipt of a Worksafe PIN Notice can sometimes be somewhat daunting for a business owner or general manager, especially if this includes a direction to immediately cease a specific type of work within your workplace until an acceptable solution has been installed.

Ignoring any PIN is not an option as this exposes the company to potential legal consequences under the New Zealand Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Sabbath Consulting specialises in the speedy resolution of PIN's for our clients that will satisfy Worksafe and HSR's. Our consultants' out-of-the-box approach often enables us to resolve issues quickly and cost-effectively.
